Natalie Merchant tour 2024 announced: On April 14, 2023, Nonesuch Records released keep your Courage from Natalie Merchant, her ninth solo studio album and the first with new material since the 2014 title-less album. The eclectic album was produced by Merchant and contains two duets with singer Abena Koomson-Davis (resistance Revival Chorus), contributions from the Celtic folk group Lúnas and Syrian clarinet virtuoso Kinan Azmeh, and horn arrangements by jazz trombonist Steve Davis. The sumptuous orchestras are made up of seven composers, including: Gabriel Kahane, Stephen Barber, Colin Jacobson and Megan Gould. Keep your Courage contains nine original songs from Merchant, as well as a performance of 'Hunting the Wren' by Ian Lynch of the Irish band Lankum. The vinyl edition of the keep your Courage LP contains four bonus tracks from previous albums that were not previously released on vinyl.

In her forty-year career, Merchant has gained a place among America's most respected artists. She started her musical career as lead singer and songwriter of the pop group 10.000 Maniacs, with which she released one platinum, two double platinum and one triple platinum album.
